KTM Enduro Naming

The EXC-F 4-stroke motor represents enduro cross-country motorcycles that are street legal, while bikes with an XC 2-stroke engine denote non-street legal cross-country dirt bikes designed for off-road racing purposes only. EXC-F: The E signifies an Enduro (street legal) cross-country (XC) motorcycle.

At 224.65 pounds without fuel, the 350 weighs in about two pounds heavier than the 250 but only one pound lighter than the larger 450. And according to KTM's power department, the 350 pumps out 57 peak horsepower, 10 more than the 250 and six less than the 450.

That's certainly the case with this year's ground-up redesign of the KTM 350 EXC-F, which according to KTM only shares 5 percent of its build sheet with last year's 350. The 350 EXC-F is designed as a lighter and more nimble version of KTM's top-of-the-range, 500 EXC-F street-legal dual sport.

ETS train mainly connects cities in the West side of Peninsular Malaysia while KTM train on the East Coast side. The EXC is more regulated than an XCF-W with a perforated end cap added to the final muffler tip and corresponding fuel/ignition map tuned for the exhaust system.
